Schlumpl, a.k.a. Alois and Christine are Claudia's parents. Alois is from the Alps of Germany. He is a very jolly man. He gave me the flower of this region he grew up in and it is dried and kept in a card. Christine gave me beautiful handkerchefs with the same flower embroidered on it. Christine is a very good cook and hostess!
Nozomu is the Kohl's exchange student this school year. He is another son and brother in this home. He is a wonderful young man. He came to Germany not knowing any German and very little English. He learned fast.
Andreas and Claudia are wonderful hosts. My stay here is going very fast! The home is full of activity and laughter. I sometimes catch on to some of the German but not enough to join in the conversation. It doesn't matter because the interaction is all good. They love Paul very much and it shows!! Little Maria loves Paul and pays alot of attention to him.
The town church consecrated to John the Baptist goes back to the 13 century and was enlarged by Bernhard Sporer in the early 16th century. Inside there's the Barbara Altar of Jerg Rathgeb. Next to the church is the Rococo castle and it was built in 1702.
