The Clean Up

I had the easy job and I can't hardly say JOB. I raked all the little stuff into piles. I made maybe 10 piles. John, Christopher, Grant and Mike made this clean up look easy! Fast, efficient and hard working! I was touched by Mike's willingness to come and help. It's the first people who check in and make sure we are o.k. The LeTourneau's ! It's the neighbor across the street who offers to help in anyway. The Kolden's. Seeing a young man appear in your back yard with a chain saw that's Mike O'neil ! Many text messages from dear friends and family. The storm only took trees and power. No home damage for which we are so thankful! AND tonight the power came on! Thus the endless blogging!

Give Me Light

Our storms turned out to be a big deal. We didn't realize how bad it was until I went up to check on my Dad...making sure he transitioned over to his other O2 source. Trees went down across our drive and all over Dad's yard. The power line was down behind our neighbors and they have trees all over. Wow! I didn't realize this was so significant. Yeah, it was really windy... rain poured sideways but... you know... I had the local radio station on... it was sunny and 91 according to them! So I took a ride down our county road and quickly realized there was a mess! Trees down everywhere!!!
I lit a bunch of candles and did just fine. I even put on in the bathtub and it illumined just like my night light.

Morning without coffee and a shower. Ok...I managed. I took a little trek to Osceola today for picture taking. I took "Stina" with me! She rocks when it comes to a photo session. I can only glean some how to's from her. I'm not trying to be like her... well ok... maybe I am. She was so much fun to watch her behind the lens. She's a Sweetheart!
