More Birthday Highlights

Sarah and the girls made a time line poster for John's 50th!!  Each purple card represents a year in one of the girls' age and comparison to John's at that same age.  So at the top is Betsey's age; 1!!!  It lists what was going on in 1964 and a picture of John at age 1.  Sofie was next!! Age 5 and then Annika's age 7 and then Sarah, age 35!!  Such a great idea and fun to look at!!  Thank you girls!!!

Happy Birthday Polka

Some of us warmed up to some fast polkas and schottische.  It was good fun!!  

Happy 50th John

It was a Grumpier Old Man party. Ice fishing contest, fish fry, and polka dance.  Lets just say we couldn't get the old man out to the lake to fish.  We didn't get any RSVP for fishing so we thought it was safe to just hang out at the house and make coffee and see when John catches on!!  He said it was when I set out a small dish of candy in the living room that he figured something was going down!!  

Our early arrivals were Todd, Casey and Trevor and Marie and Don and Mom and Christopher.  We kept the coffee pot going and we started bringing out the food.  

By three we were a full house and having a good time.  It was so fun to have our friends and family to come and help celebrate John's special day!!
