Saturday Morning Post

This is my second time writing a post.  My computer gives me a script error and drops everything I so eloquently wrote up!!  Grrrrrr  My good mood endorphins from morning run wasted on a script error!! 

I jotted down all my visuals, sounds and smells of the beautiful county road I run.  Something along the lines of summers pace by prairie flowers blooming and naming all I've seen since spring arrived. 

Today's feature...Indigo bunting!

Added bonus!  Only have eight left!!  Only $15 / shipping extra for out of town orders.  I'll have to speak with the winter lay off crew to get another bunch made!  Seriously the best and most visited bird feeder!!!

Buck On The Farm

Every spring Buck returns to my dear friends farm.  He romps and plays with 6 children and guards chickens and keeps pigs in line.  He's a faithful shadow to Jacob and Julia and tends farm chores with them or trotts along in play.  They report he is often found down in the stream stomping around and finding fish to paw at!!  His tail wags non stop!!!

 

 

He greeted both John and I with a brush up against us and stood for some petting.  He is so happy here!!  It couldn't have been a better arrangement for this old shop dog.   Buck is 12 years old and I didn't think he had much left of him. He's skinny and slowing down...resting more... but now with all the kids and and the farm animals he finds it in him to live large!

Just a side note:  There are kittens in the area where he sleeps.  Buck can be found sleeping with kittens. He helped nip piglets shoulders to keep them moving into a pig pen.  Buck will lay around the peeps and keep an eye on them.  Buck helped Paul catch a chipmunk in the garage!!  It seems Buck knows what help is needed and how to keep an eye on the family and farm.  Good 'Ol Buck!

Patriot Ride

3,000 signed up to ride!!  They pass our drive way and I usually stand out there to wave!!  YES I DO!!  It's a honored event!  They ride to support our Troops and Vets!! 

 

 

 

A gal named Vicky parked at the end of our drive to wave a flag.  Earlier she had a WWII vet with her at another location to watch the ride.  But due to weather the ride must of had a later start???? 

They were taking Vicky's picutre as they drove by!!  Lots of waving and beeping!!

Race The Rum 5K Finisher

I bring a photographer to all my running  [a..hmmmm yogging] events.  Doing a 5K is a feat for me and it's blog worthy. Webster states it's Bold and Daring!  How else should I put a emphasis on mid life? [no crisis just mid life]

Dancing to THRILLER.

I'm standing between two fast dudes.  One being my cousins son, Andrew F and the other the fastest in town, Sam W.  John said he finished first without a ruffle or breaking a sweat.  It was just crazy!!  The whole running crowd just buzzed right by me!  The breeze was much appreciated!

Marilyn F.saw me finishing and joined in to cheer me on !  Love that kind of company!  Oh fe fon I was over heated.  I wasn't sweating, my head felt like a torched turnip, I was about to sputter and didn't care what my time was.  I'm a finisher!!

Always A Smile

 Until we meet again Dick! It won't be the same without you Dick!!  Fishing partner, dance partner at the barn dance, hunting partner, meet in the middle somewhere for supper, and so much more!  We love you and will miss you!!
