July 12 we arrived at Vastag a village outside of Alvdalen. It was a darling little stuga that Lena's friends owned. We stayed two nights there. We drove an hour from Orsa, Gronklitt and on our route is a bridge that shares a train track with the road!! We weren't so sure about this and were wide eyed and ready to have our journey over with. It was around 10 p.m. when we arrived to the stuga. We walked into our cute little stuga and immediately started planning our first evening alone! Wine someone hollered!!! We need wine!!! Lars and Ivan had just left the drive way when Rhonda ran next door to ask the lady who was still in her garden at 10 o'clock at night, for wine!! Did she have wine and can we buy it from her? Wouldn't you know it she had just returned home moments before we arrived from the Systembolaget [wine shop] and had a carton of white and red wine!!! Rhonda made the exchange and invited her over for a girls night at the stuga.
This is actually from Orsa, neighbors back yard. I can barely see what photos I am uploading and I do not edit nor do I care if they are blurry. It takes about 7minutes per photo to upload!! Oiy
Another little cottage behind ours. The large river is right behind it!! Swans are on the river often!
Open the door and pull the curtain for fresh air. Open windows and there's no screens!! We brought our bug spray wipes!! It may be July but there is no mosquitoes yet!! The lilacs just finished blooming and the peonies are everywhere!! July is known for it's flowers blooming.
Most notable about the stay here, the beauty and the air so fresh and crisp! I love all the evening times together and the laughing and the stories!!
